Elections underway in Iran

Voters are choosing a new parliament and Assembly of Experts, a clerical body that appoints the supreme leader. The elections mark the first test of the political mood since Iran’s nuclear deal with major world powers was reached in July. More than 4,800 candidates are running for 290 seats.
