It appears the rural scenery of Santa Rosa Valley has hit the right note with Lindsey Buckingham. The musician of Fleetwood Mac fame and his wife, designer Kristen Buckingham, have paid $1.5 million for a residential lot in the Ventura County community tucked between Thousand Oaks and Camarillo.

Located in a gated enclave, the two-parcel property measures about 10 acres and is mostly flat land. Views from the property take in the surrounding mountains, fields and valley floor.

The property originally came to market three years ago and sold for the asking price, property records show.

Rosemary Allison of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Nona Green, also with Coldwell Banker, represented the buyers.

Buckingham, 66, rose to fame in the 1970s and ‘80s as the frontman and lead guitarist for Fleetwood Mac. He contributed to seven of the band’s studio albums, including the critically acclaimed “Rumours” in 1977. As a solo artist, he has released nine additional albums.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the group in 1998.
