Jason Hill had made one of two free throws with 2.8 seconds remaining to give the Cavaliers a 60-59 lead.

Taft trailed by nine after Young grabbed an offensive rebound and made a short jump shot early in the fourth quarter. But Farmar scored seven of Taft's next 11 points to give the Toreadors a 54-53 lead with 3:30 remaining in the game, which doubled as a West Valley League opener.

Taft, ranked No. 6, put together a 14-0 run in the first half that gave it a 13-point lead, but No. 14 Cleveland answered with a 15-0 run to move ahead, 26-24.

Farmar scored 22 points to lead Taft. Young had 21 for Cleveland.
