This was the first time that seniors Daniel Im and Ricky Costello, in their four years of playing together, have both lost in the same match.

Jimmy Pigneri had two birdies and an eagle to lead Canyon (5-5, 2-0) with a two-under-par 34. Pigneri's eagle was over the water on the par-five ninth hole at Tustin Ranch. Tustin is 7-5, 0-3.

In the last group, medalist Ryan Ritzau shot a three-under-par 68 at Glen Annie Golf Club for host Dos Pueblos (6-2, 3-0), which beat the school record of 362 strokes for an overall team score. Three-time defending CIF-SS Champion San Marcos is 6-4, 1-1.

Sophomore Brian Kim shot a one-under 35 to co-medal for Cerritos and Kenny Kim also shot a 35 to share medalist honors for Gahr at Lakewood Country Club. Sophomore Rory Hie shot an even-par 36 and Daniel Kim shot a 38 for Cerritos (11-0). Kenny Kim shot a 35 and Garrett Sapp shot a 38 for Gahr (10-1).

Hart 360, Westlake 385
Joe Greiner shot a three-under 68 to earn medalist honors and Matt Ryan and David Cape each shot a one-under 70 for host Hart (12-0-1) at Robinson Ranch Mountain Course. Mike Imperato shot a 74 for Westlake (7-6). Hart's score is the lowest ever shot at Robinson Ranch by a high school team.

Irvine 210, Rancho Alamitos 232
Medalist Dan Kohn of Irvine (3-6) shot an even-par 36 at Oak Creek Golf Course.

La Quinta 193, Bermuda Dunes Desert Christian 205
Freshmen Ben Murray of La Quinta (8-2) shot a one-under 34 at Shadow Ridge Golf Course.

La Salle 186, Valencia 197
Junior Charles Redmond shot a two-under 33 at Brookside Golf Course No. 2 to lead host La Salle (7-2). Casey Ceman shot a one-over 36 for Valencia (7-2).

Los Alamitos 199, Anaheim Canyon 215, La Serna 235
Kyle Warren and Kenny Roberts each shot two-over 38 to share medalist honors for Los Alamitos at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, par 36. Canyon is 4-5, 1-0.

Milken 198, St. Monica 247
Michael Larkin shot a one-under 35 to earn medalist honors and Josh Diamond, who triple bogied the first hole, and Harry Hendler each shot a 39 for Milken at Balboa Golf Course. The match was the first time the Wildcats (4-1) had shot under 200 this season.

Sophomore Brandin Cohen shot a two-under 34 to earn medalist honors for Mira Costa at Brookside, No. 1. Mira Costa is 10-1.

Oaks Christian 377, Oak Park 442
Sophomore James Dalthrop III shot a one-under 70 to earn medalist honors and junior Ryan Bailey shot a 71 to lead Oaks Christian (8-0-1, 2-0) at Sterling Hills Golf Club.

Santa Fe 211, Sonora 223
Medalist James Lee shot a two-under 34 for Santa Fe (7-0) at Westridge Golf Club. Sonora is 4-3.

Simi Valley 400, Newbury Park 429
Rodolfo Estrada shot a five-over-par 76 for Simi Valley (3-3) at Simi Hills Golf Course. Newbury Park (0-6) was led by Brad Laddussaw, who shot a 79.

South Torrance 192, West Torrance 200
Sophomore Jason Kang and freshman Jeff Marubayashi both shot a one-over 37 at Alondra Golf Course for South Torrance (7-2).

Temple City 215, San Gabriel 258
Medalist Shane Hammond shot a three-over-par 38 at Eaton Canyon Golf Course to lead host Temple City (5-1).
