Dodgers’ Hyun-Jin Ryu sidelined with tight back

Hyun-Jin Ryu will miss the Dodgers’ workout Wednesday because of mid-back tightness, Manager Don Mattingly said.

Ryu threw a bullpen session Tuesday.

Mattingly didn’t know when Ryu would resume working out, but said he was under the impression that the problem was minor.

“I kind of expect this is not going to be a lingering thing,” Mattingly said.

Ryu’s bullpen session Tuesday was his second of the spring. Before camp, he threw four bullpen sessions while working out with a Korean team.
