Gear Watch: Late-season Skiing

From Travel in Style, a special advertising feature "Safety first" may be the byword on the slopes these days, but when it comes to fashion, you can throw caution to the wind. This spring, look for wild, edgy artwork on skis and boards. Outerwear features playful geometric patterns and pop-ethnic influences. Slimmer silhouettes and slope-to-street looks dominate. While you'll definitely spot some retro looks on the mountain (Burton Snowboards' Coogi jacket pays homage to an '80s Bill Cosby sweater), goggles and helmets are tricked out with some pretty futuristic-looking technology.
