High school basketball: An item in the Day in Sports article in the July 17 Sports section reported that Nnamdi Okongwu, a basketball player at Chino Hills High, had died after a skateboarding accident, according to his coach. However, a spokesperson for San Bernardino County said that Okongwu was hospitalized and still alive as of Thursday afternoon, though his condition was not revealed.

UC regents: An article in the July 17 LATExtra section on the confirmation of a UC student regent incorrectly stated that UC regents believed that opinions expressed by businessman Adam Milstein were offensive to Muslims. It was the group Students for Justice in Palestine that objected to what they perceived as Milstein’s opinions. Milstein denies he is anti-Muslim.

Ukraine conflict: An article in the July 16 Section A about unlikely allies in the conflict in Ukraine said that the worst day of violence in the anti-government protests was March 20. It was Feb. 20.
