Oscars on TV: In the Feb. 23 Oscars special section, a review of the Oscars telecast said that in his acceptance speech for adapted screenplay, Graham Moore spoke of the isolation he felt as a gay teen. Moore spoke about his isolation, but after the ceremony, he stated that he is not gay.

Oscars history: A photo caption with a Feb. 22 Calendar article on memorable moments in Academy Awards history misidentified William Holden’s wife, Brenda Marshall, as Brenda Joyce.

Opera: In the Feb. 23 Calendar section, a photo caption with a review of the “First Take” opera performances at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts identified a singer as soprano Maria Elena Altany. The singer is mezzo-soprano Julia Aks.

Kings hockey: In the Feb. 23 Sports section, a photo caption with an article about the Kings’ return to playoff contention said that Marion Gaborik scored the winning goal against San Jose on Saturday with 4 minutes 4 seconds left in the game. Gaborik scored 4 minutes 4 seconds into the third period.

Oscars diversity: In the Feb. 24 Section A, an article about an increase in minority presenters at the Oscars omitted the byline of Times staff writer Lorraine Ali, who co-reported the story with Rebecca Keegan.
