Earthquake: 1.6 quake strikes near La Habra [Updated]

[Updated 12:27 p.m. April 1: A shallow magnitude 1.6 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning one mile from La Habra, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:30 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles. The quake’s magnitude was downgraded from 2.5.]

According to the USGS, the epicenter was two miles from La Mirada, three miles from Fullerton and three miles from Buena Park.

In the last 10 days, there have been nine earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
