Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near San Ramon, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Friday evening, one mile from San Ramon, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:04 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.0 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Danville, Calif., four miles from Dublin, Calif., six miles from Alamo, Calif. and 60 miles from Sacramento.

In the past ten days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
