A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Friday morning, 5 miles from Malibu Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor occurred at 10:03 a.m. Pacific time.
The depth was recorded at 7.5 miles.
There were no immediate reports of damage, according to Los Angeles county and city fire officials.
