Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives Thursday were continuing their investigation into a double killing in South Los Angeles.

Sheriff’s deputies went to the 1200 block of West 87th Street about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday after someone called 911 to report gunshots, officials said. When deputies arrived, they found a 26-year-old man and a 38-year-old man shot to death.

Homicide investigators were at the scene early Thursday gathering evidence, but no arrests had been made. Investigators said witnesses reported that the men were standing in front of a home when a man drove up, got out of his car and began arguing with the two victims. Witnesses said the man then shot them both and fled in a dark-colored sedan, investigators said.
