UC Berkeley: 50th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement

Fifty years ago, University of California students undertook a student protest at UC Berkeley to demand that a ban on political activism on campus be lifted. The movement lasted three months and set in motion ‘60s activism on other college campuses.
