The Foothill Ranch Souplantation will reopen today after getting a clean bill of health following an outbreak of E. coli infections associated with the restaurant last month, officials said.

“We don’t know of anything that would be a concern,” Howard Sutter, a spokesman for the Orange County Health Care Agency, said after the restaurant’s health permit was reinstated Thursday.

The permit was suspended April 7, a day after the restaurant voluntarily closed as a result of the outbreak.

To date, officials said, 14 customers and one employee have tested positive for the infection after eating at the restaurant on March 23, 24 or 25. Though health officials have not identified the source of the outbreak, Sutter said, they believe it is no longer present.
