A bruising campaign day for McCain
John McCain was plagued by another headache Monday, this one not political. On the first day of a two-day swing through Central and Southern California, he sported two small bandages on his scalp.
A reporter, mindful that McCain has battled skin cancer, asked the senator if the bandages were cancer-related.
“Oh no,” McCain said, explaining that he had simply bumped his head Friday. “I was getting out of the car in Canada and I hit the roof a teeny bit,” he said. “The car was much smaller than the one I’m usually being ferried about in by our beloved Secret Service.”
