Share

The Laguna Beach Unified School District will hold three public input sessions in December as it works toward hiring a new superintendent.

The three forums, facilitated by a member of consulting firm Hazard, Young Attea & Associates, will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 2; 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7; and 9 a.m. Dec. 9.

The Dec. 2 and 7 sessions will be held in the district board room at 550 Blumont St., and the Dec. 9 workshop will be held inside the Laguna Beach High School library at 625 Park Ave.

A goal of the workshops will be to identify characteristics the district will seek in a candidate to replace current Supt. Sherine Smith, who will retire in June after six years with the district. The board of education invites all stakeholders to provide input, either during the workshops or through an online survey, at ecrasurvey.com/laguna.
