Have you seen these men wanted in an attempted gas station robbery?
Huntington Beach police are asking for help identifying two men who tried to rob a gas station at gunpoint Monday night.
Investigators released pictures of the two men who, police said, entered a Mobil station at 15001 Goldenwest St. about 6:30 p.m. and demanded a clerk give them money from the register.
One of the robbers displayed a handgun and hit the employee, according to police.
The men, however, fled without any cash, police said. They drove off in a Dodge Journey SUV with paper plates, according to a bulletin from the Police Department.
A third person appeared to be driving the SUV, according to police.
Authorities ask anyone with information to call the Huntington Beach Police Information Hotline at 714-375-5066. Anyone who wants to give an anonymous tip may call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS (855-847-6227).
