USC football: Trojans ranked No. 24 in AP poll
USC is ranked No. 24 in the Associated Press media preseason football poll, the same ranking the Trojans received in the USA Today coaches’ poll earlier this month.
Two-time defending national champion Alabama is ranked No. 1 in both polls.
Among Pac-12 teams, Oregon is ranked third, Stanford fourth, UCLA 21st and Oregon State 25th in both polls.
Los Angeles Times reporters do not vote in polls.
USC began last season ranked No. 1 in the AP poll but was unranked at season’s end after finishing 7-6.
USC, which has yet to settle on a starting quarterback, opens its season Aug. 29 at Hawaii.
