City Section approves mandatory three-week dead period
Sports teams in the City Section will have to impose a mandatory continuous three-week dead period after the section’s Board of Managers approved the rule change on Monday.
Fall sports teams will have to choose three weeks to take off between June 1 or the end of the spring semester and before the first official fall practice date.
Winter sports may choose between June 1 and three weeks prior to the first official practice date. Spring sports will have their dead period anytime from the beginning of the winter break to the first official spring practice dates.
