Update: The Kings must win tonight to avoid elimination from the playoffs, but they could be eliminated anyway by the time they skate off the ice if St. Louis wins at Detroit and the Ducks tie at Vancouver. For one of the few times this season, Coach Terry Murray was critical of his team’s effort in a 3-2 loss to Dallas -- and several of his players agreed. The Kings have won 18 of 39 one-goal games this season.
