at Detroit 14, Oakland 1: Ryan Raburn and Brandon Inge hit grand slams in the rain-interrupted game, the first time the Tigers hit two slams in a game since Jim Northrup hit a pair on June 24, 1968.
at Kansas City 8, Baltimore 1: Zack Greinke’s earned-run average went from 0.51 to 0.60 as the Royals’ right-hander gave up one run in seven innings and improved to 7-1.
at Seattle 5, Boston 4: The Red Sox benched David Ortiz, and Ichiro Suzuki hit two homers as the Mariners rallied from a 4-0 deficit.
at Toronto 8, Chicago 3: Aaron Hill hit a two-run homer, rookie Brett Cecil won his second consecutive start and the White Sox lost for the seventh straight time in Toronto.
