Kendrys Morales, Twins reportedly agree on contract
Free-agent slugger Kendrys Morales and the Minnesota Twins have agreed to a one-year, $12-million prorated contract worth about $7.6 million, mlb.com reported Saturday.
The Twins did not confirm the deal.
Morales, 30, declined a qualifying offer from the Seattle Mariners over the off-season. The switch-hitting first baseman and designated hitter batted .277 with 23 home runs and 80 runs batted in for the Mariners last season.
He played with the Angels from 2006 to 2012 and is a career .280 hitter.
