The 29-year-old Mrs. Jay-Z has landed the female lead in ClintEastwood's reprisal of "A Star is Born," with potential costarslike Will Smith, Eddie Murphy or Jon Hamm. The gig: A private 2009 New Year's Eve concert with connections to the Kadafi family. The pay: Undisclosed, but rumored at $2 million. The aftermath:"Once it became known that the third party promoter was linked to the [Kadafi] family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause, " her spokeswoman Yvette Noel-Schure said in a statement. Overall, Beyonce dodged heavy criticism when she announced she had donated the funds to Haiti earthquake relief more than a year ago.

May was National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and schools got involved. The National Association of Broadcasters organized over 600 schools nationwide to perform a Beyonce workout dance video at 1:42 p.m., on Tues., May 3. First Lady Michelle Obama also participated in the dance performance.
