Fighter Jon Jones suspended for a year over positive drug test
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been suspended for one year by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
The suspension, coming after an arbitration panel hearing, is retroactive to July 6, the date Jones tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance before his scheduled UFC 200 main event against Daniel Cormier. The bout was scrapped after the doping test result.
The Anti-Doping Agency presided over the test and the appeal process.
