Fan falls to his death at NFL game at Houston’s Reliant Stadium
An unidentified 25-year-old fan died after falling off a fifth-floor escalator while attending a preseason Houston Texans game Thursday at Reliant Stadium, police said.
Houston Police Department spokesman John Cannon said Friday he could not identify the man until his family had been informed.
“He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital after we had had some fans get the attention of some Houston police officers who were nearby where the body fell,” Cannon said.
Police consider the death accidental, Cannon said. The man fell from the fifth floor all the way to the ground floor of the stadium.
The fan was attending the Houston Texans’ game against the Minnesota Vikings. Houston won, 28-24.
