Now that the Kings have finished off the San Jose Sharks in a nail-biting Game 7, they’ll play a waiting game to find out who comes next.

The Chicago Blackhawks will play the Detroit Red Wings in their own Game 7 on Wednesday night to determine the other team in the Western Conference finals.

If Chicago wins, the Blackhawks would have home-ice advantage, the series starting with back-to-back games in Chicago on Saturday and Sunday. Games 3 and 4 would be in Los Angeles on June 4 and June 6.

If the Red Wings win, Los Angeles would have the home-ice advantage and the first two games would be at Staples Center on Friday and Sunday, with the next two at Joe Louis Arena on June 4 and June 6.

Regardless, Kings goalie Jonathan Quick knew what he would be doing in the meantime.

“Relax,” he said. “Enjoy the day.”
