Want to go see the Kings play the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Final at Staples Center?

It’s gonna cost you. Big time. But not nearly as much as it would if you were planning on seeing them at Madison Square Garden.

According to TiqIQ.com, the average price for a ticket for the four games at Staples Center is $1,506.06, ranging from $1,160.61 for Game 1 to $1,996.70 for a possible Game 7. The cheapest price to get in to a championship series game at Staples is $528 for Game 1; Game 7 tickets start at $1,045.

That’s significantly higher than the $1,387.46 average local fans paid to see the Kings go all the way in 2012.

But it’s nothing compared with what folks in New York will have to pay to see their team play for its first Stanley Cup championship in 20 years. The average ticket price for Rangers home games is $2,424.64, ranging from $2,197.34 for Game 3 to $2,827.85 for a possible Game 6.

A “cheap” seat for Game 3 costs $1,065; one for Game 6 is $1,697.

TiqIQ vice president of data and communications Chris Matcovich says the average ticket of $1,926.11 for the entire series is the highest his group, which has been around since 2011, has seen.
