Michael Vick says his brother’s Twitter tirade won’t happen again
Michael Vick was clearly not pleased by his brother’s Twitter rant during Monday’s game against the Saints.
Michael told reporters Wednesday that he asked his brother, Marcus, to “shut off the Twitter.”
“You’ll never see that again. Trust me,” Michael said.
During the Saints’ 28-13 win over Philadelphia, Marcus unloaded on the Eagles, complaining about the offensive line’s protection of his brother and demanding a trade.
“Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please,” Marcus tweeted.
The tweet was later deleted from Marcus Vick’s account.
“That’s not me,” Michael said. “If it doesn’t come from me ... I’m in the middle of a full-fledged game. I don’t know what’s being said. I don’t know what’s going on. But I definitely got it corrected. We definitely had a serious heart-to-heart conversation.”
Marcus later took to Twitter to issue an apology.
“I love my brother and it’s hard as hell to watch him taking all those shots, but I’m sorry if I offended anyone and definitely didn’t mean to put Mike in a tough spot. I’m not only watching as a fan, I’m watching as his blood,” he wrote.
