Shane Battier celebrates NBA championship at Denny’s
As night faded into the early morning hours, Miami Heat players celebrating a newly won NBA championship had their choice of South Beach hot spots.

Oh, and Denny’s.
According to his 3:19 a.m. post on Twitter, veteran forward Shane Battier chose a Grand Slam breakfast instead of the hot lights and a pulsating beat.

Hours earlier, reporters had asked him where he might spend the evening.
“Well, tonight I’m going to -- that’s a sticky question,” he answered. “Tomorrow, I hope my wife cooks me a nice rib eye. I’m looking forward to my rib eye tomorrow. Tonight, we’ll see.”
Game 7 of the NBA Finals ranked among the greatest of Battier’s long career. He scored 18 points on six-of-eight shooting from three-point range.
“The basketball gods ... I believe in basketball gods,” he said. “I felt that they owed me big time.”
The only question remaining: Did he order the Moons Over My Hammy plate?
