Midfielder Giovani dos Santos is the Galaxy’s lone representative on the 26-player Major League Soccer all-star team, which was announced by the league Sunday.

Dos Santos, who leads the Galaxy with seven goals, was selected to the team in a fan vote earlier this month, then confirmed as a member of the game day roster Sunday. It is the first all-star selection for Dos Santos, who joined the Galaxy’s last summer.

The MLS will play Arsenal of the English Premier League in San Jose on July 28.

The Montreal Impact leads all teams with three selections: defender Laurent Ciman and forwards Didier Drogba and Ignacio Piatti. Also chosen were seven members of the U.S. national team – Steve Birnbaum of D.C. United. Matt Besler of Sporting Kansas City, Kyle Beckerman of Real Salt Lake, Jermaine Jones of Colorado, Darlington Nagbe of Portland, Clint Dempsey of Seattle and San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski – and New York City’s David Villa, who leads the league with 13 goals.
