Public hearings set on proposed city budget

The public is invited to comment on the tentative city budget for 2014-2015 at two public hearings at 6 p.m. Sept. 11 and 18, both Thursday nights in City Council chambers in Boca Raton City Hall. A copy of the proposed budget and Capital Improvements Program through 2020 are posted at ci.boca-raton.fl.us/pages/financial-services/home. Mayor Susan Haynie's presentation on the proposed budget at the Boca Chamber's Aug. 14 breakfast meeting is also posted there. Total property taxes would come to more than $336 million, according to the proposed budget.
