Gunman at Home Depot in New York kills employee and self, police say

A gunman killed an employee at a Home Depot store in Manhattan on Sunday, then took his own life, a New York Police Department spokesman said. The shooting occurred at the Home Depot on West 23rd Street in the Chelsea neighborhood about 2:45 p.m. Eastern time, said the spokesman, Sgt. Lee Jones. Jones said the 31-year-old gunman was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The 38-year-old victim, who was the target of the attack, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, where he died from his injuries, Jones said.
