CW renews 'Carrie Diaries,' 'Nikita,' adds four new dramas

The '80s live on at The CW: modest-performing "The Carrie Diaries" will return next season, along with spy drama "Nikita." And the network is adding four dramas to its 2013-14 schedule, most rapt in the sci-fi world. That takes "Nikita," which averages around 1 million viewers, into its fourth season — and according to the show's executive producer Craig Silverstein, it will be an abbreviated run, possibly indicating a final season for the show.
