'My Old Lady' is in no hurry

There is something ever so slightly dry and dusty about "My Old Lady," the serio-comedy appearing through Jan. 4 at Palm Beach Dramaworks in West Palm Beach. But that is definitely not a bad thing. For what seems creaky in the first act gets cranked in the second. That's when the play by Israel Horovitz, takes everything from the slow setup and injects it with a whole new shading. Phrases, jokes, props and even the show's title have their trajectory changed in this way. It's exhilarating to observe, especially in the hands of the nailed-it-down cast.
