Despite the government shutdown, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex remains open to guests. However, its standard bus tours that come with admission and the up-close tours, which visit sites such as a launch pad and the Vehicle Assembly Building, have been suspended. The staffing shortage resulting from the shutdown prevents folks from entering the Kennedy Space Center proper.
