UConn's Kia Nurse Golden With 33 Points In Pan Am Final

UConn sophomore Kia Nurse scored 33 points to help Canada beat the United States 81-73 in the championship game of the Pan American Games in front of 3,300 at Ryerson Athletic Center in Toronto. The victory gave Canada its first Pan Am gold medal in women's basketball. UConn senior Breanna Stewart had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the U.S. It was the Americans' fifth second-place finish at the Pan Am games. UConn senior Moriah Jefferson had 14 points for the U.S., but left the game after a head-to-head collision with Nurse with five minutes left. Nurse returned to the game after the pair banged the back of their heads diving for a loose ball. Jefferson remained on the bench....
