Boys' basketball: The Kobe Paras experience begins in positive fashion

And so it begins, the journey of Kobe Paras from the Philippines to America to play basketball. The first two weeks had ups and downs, but the 6-foot-6 junior showed some toughness, resiliency and class in his opening act playing for Los Angeles Cathedral. Committed to UCLA, Paras made a hardly overwhelming first impression last week. He scored four points on two-of-10 shooting in his opening game.
