James Harden has 37 points to lead Rockets past Lakers

The Lakers rallied in the fourth quarter, trimming a 25-point deficit to the Houston Rockets to 11, but ultimately fell short to lose their eighth consecutive game, 99-87, on Sunday evening at Staples Center. Playing without center Dwight Howard, the Rockets were led by James Harden, who scored 37 points in 33 minutes. Harden also had eight rebounds and five assists. Jeremy Lin, Ronnie Price, Wesley Johnson, Ed Davis and Tarik Black spearheaded the Lakers' late, albeit futile, run.
