Rams long snapper Jake McQuaide established a first for the franchise Wednesday when he was named to the Pro Bowl.
McQuaide, a sixth-year pro who played at Ohio State, is the first Rams long snapper to be selected for the annual all-star game, which will be played Jan. 29 in Orlando, Fla. McQuaide was selected as a “need “player by Dallas Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett, the Rams said in a release.
McQuaide joins defensive tackle Aaron Donald and punter Johnny Hekker in the Pro Bowl, who were announced as selections last month. Both were voted into the game for the third time.
