Judge Sides With Brady; NFL To Appeal 'Deflategate' Decision

The New England Patriots got their first and perhaps most significant victory, a week before their regular season kicks off. U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman ruled Thursday morning in favor of quarterback Tom Brady in the case involving deflated footballs and a four-game suspension. Berman criticized the NFL’s handling of the investigation and ruled the suspension be vacated. The NFL is appealing the decision, but it will likely have no impact on the upcoming season. The decision from Berman means Brady will be taking snaps for the reigning Super Bowl champions when New England opens against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 10.
