Ducks can't get job done in shootout at Vancouver

Alexandre Burrows scored in the first round of the shootout and Jacob Markstrom made 27 saves to help the Vancouver Canucks beat the Ducks, 2-1, on Friday night.

Burrows whipped a shot past Frederik Anderson to start the shootout, and then Markstrom stopped Ryan Kesler, Jakob Silfverberg and Corey Perry to end Anaheim's three-game win streak.

The Ducks had won their last two games by 1-0 scores on shutouts by John Gibson, but Andersen returned to the net against the Canucks.

"I thought we played well, especially on a back-to-back," Andersen said. "It's tough, but we did some good work this road trip."
