Historic tall ship to dock in Baltimore

With calls of "Au revoir" and the sounds of French singing filling the air, the replica 18th-century French frigate Hermione left City Dock in downtown Annapolis on Thursday morning. The 216-foot-long ship, equipped with 17 sails and two 400-horsepower engines, departed shortly after 7 a.m. for its journey up the Chesapeake Bay to Baltimore. Hundreds of people gathered on City Dock and across Spa Creek in Eastport to bid it adieu. "It was really a fun time in town," said Bill Reichhardt, of Eastport.
