Breweries both big and small will showcase their beers at a tasting festival next week in Las Vegas that’s also a fundraiser for a southern Nevada food bank.

BrewBQ will be take place from 8 to 11 p.m. May 17 at the Ellis Island Casino & Brewery.

Guests can sample several of the host property’s beers, along with those from more than a dozen other breweries. Alongside the big players (think Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors) will be much smaller brewers such as Hoegaarden, Lagunitas and Three Monkeys.

All-you-can-drink tickets cost $55. Add $30 for a dinner that includes barbecue ribs.

Ellis Island is at 4178 Koval Lane, a couple of blocks east of the Las Vegas Strip just off Flamingo Road.

The event will benefit Three Square, an organization that last year distributed more than 30 million pounds of food and grocery products to hunger relief programs in southern Nevada.
