This is either your worst nightmare, or a rare glimpse into a complicated personality – take your pick -- but boxer Mike Tyson performs a one-man show at the MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theatre in Las Vegas, April 13-18.

“Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth – Live on Stage” is the title, and that sort of says it all, though some might claim there are no undisputed truths, particularly when Tyson is involved. The boxing phenom was only 20 when he became the heavyweight champion of the world and developed into one of the most-feared fighters in history. But his career was filled with controversy, including prison time for a rape conviction and the infamous biting of opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear during a match. Despite making a reported $300 million in his career, Tyson declared bankruptcy in 2003.

The premiere of his one-man show is billed as “the no-holds-barred life story of the iconic boxer as it has never been told before. In an up-close-and-personal setting featuring images, music and video, Tyson shares the stories of his life and experiences as a professional athlete and the controversies he faced in and out of the ring.”
