What's hot: Haunted Places has lists and some tales of spooky sites in the U.S. and the world. You don't have to go far afield: Try the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Visitors will find plenty of places to haunt at the Headless Horseman, which has Washington Irving's seminal American ghost story and mostly stories, photos (yes, you can see apparitions) and haunts in olde England.
What's not: Haunted Places has few special effects (some audio and photos), and the layout is practical, not fun. The Headless Horseman is not ordered geographically, so locations are harder to find.
