Japan and China: All-inclusive highlights tour

Travelers with minimum time will get maximum exposure to some of Japan’s and China’s highlights with a 10-day excursion offered by Pacific Delight Tours.

The tour begins with a three-night stay in Tokyo at the New Otani Garden Tower Hotel. While in the capital, participants will visit the Meiji Shrine; the Imperial Palace, the residence of the Japanese emperor; and the Ginza, the city’s frenetic shopping district.

A drive through Kanagawa Prefecture will take visitors to Mt. Fuji, where they will stop halfway up the mountain to take in the views, and to Lake Ashi for a tranquil cruise. From there, it’s on to Kyoto for two nights and visits to Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Kinkakuji Temple, dating to the 14th century; and the Kyoto Imperial Palace, where Japan’s emperors resided until 1869.

The tour concludes in Beijing, where participants will spend three nights in order to visit Tiananmen Square, the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Summer Palace, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
