Scarecrows and a talking tree highlight Bellagio’s autumn display

Share

Fall officially arrived in Las Vegas with the unveiling of the autumn display at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, a free exhibit filled with colorful leaves, monster-sized pumpkins, spooky creatures and a talking tree.

More than 7,500 flowers and 1,950 shrubs are on display here, with gardeners swapping them out daily.

A 33-foot-long bridge draped in vines welcomes guests to the display, followed by a cobblestone walkway replete with acrylic leaves overhead that float to the ground. Four 16-foot trees with wild mushrooms at the base surround the bridge. A 28-foot talking sugar maple tree is nearby, next to a water mill.

Water flows through the mill and into a pond made of river rock. New additions this season include two scarecrow topiaries and three oversized LED dandelions.

Three creatures sit in the north garden with their pumpkins and an 1870s Newton wagon filled with pumpkins, gourds and bales of hay. Two 16-foot-tall gnarled trees with illuminated leaves guard the garden.

The south garden features a scarecrow with a 12-foot woven basket overflowing with multi-colored pumpkins that range in size from 400 to 1,000 pounds.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens stays open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The fall display remains open through Nov. 30.
