Muscle cars, street rods and exotic rides vroom into Las Vegas for the Hot Rod PowerFest West at the Rio on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27. Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band headlines the entertainment for the inaugural event.

Guitar World called namesake frontman of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band one of the top blues guitarists of all time. The group has six No. 1 blues albums and their biggest single, the 1995 hit “Blue on Black,” in their catalog of music. The band takes the stage on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m.

While vehicles are on display all weekend, enthusiasts can take part in a Dyno Challenge that allows participants to see how much horsepower is under the hoods of their rides, a burnout contest to find the most tire smoke and engine noise and Show ‘n’ Shine judging, where pros and Hot Rod editors judge cars.
