Rock ‘n Roll Wine Amplified brings top acts for its 10th anniversary

Drink wine and soak in bands such as Panic! At the Disco, Passion Pit, Sublime with Rome and 50 Cent during the 10th anniversary of Rock ‘n Roll Wine.

The wine festival, dubbed “Wine Amplified,” takes over MGM Resorts Village on Oct. 9 and 10. Other acts getting in on the two-day festival include Fitz and the Tantrums, Cold War Kids, Robert DeLong, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, the Sheepdogs and more.

The festival features more than 60 wineries, more than 150 wines by the taste or by the glass, a craft beer garden with more than 20 brews, specialty cocktails, a speakeasy from New Amsterdam and live performances.

Guests can buy drinks using radio-frequency identification technology, loading money on wristbands and using them as a virtual wallet.

Local Las Vegas rock band Panic! At the Disco and indie band Passion Pit headline the festival Oct. 9. Panic! At the Disco’s most recent single, “Hallelujah,” nabbed more than three million streams on Spotify and nearly three million plays on YouTube within a month of its release. The band’s fourth studio album, “Too Weird To Live, Too Rare to Die!” came out in October 2013 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart.

Passion Pit released its debut album “Manners” in 2009. A follow-up album titled “Gossamer” came out in 2012 and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. “Kindred,” the band’s third album, came out in April with lead singles “Lifted Up (1985),” “Where the Sky Hangs” and “Until We Can’t (Let’s Go).” Also scheduled to perform Friday evening are Cold War Kids, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and the Sheepdogs.

Sublime with Rome is a collaboration between Eric Wilson of Sublime and songwriter and musician Rome Ramirez. The band is set to co-headline on Oct. 10 with songs such as “Panic,” “Take It Or Leave,” “You Better Listen,” “Lover’s Rock” and “Murdera.”

Grammy Award-winning rapper and actor 50 Cent will be joined by G-Unit that night. Other performances on Saturday evening include Fitz and the Tantrums, Robert DeLong, and the Noms.

Single-day tickets start at $59 for general admission and $139 for VIP. Two-day general admission tickets are at $109 and VIP tickets are $249.
