Jerry Seinfeld brings his favorite subject -- nothing -- to Las Vegas

It’s practically become a tradition in Las Vegas to see comedian Jerry Seinfeld‘s name on a marquee on the days after Christmas. The former star of “Seinfeld” returns Dec. 26 and 27, bringing his stand-up act to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

It was only eight years after Seinfeld made his first appearance on “The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson” in 1981 that he teamed up with comedian Larry David to create and star in one of the most successful sitcoms in television history.

The nine seasons of “Seinfeld” earned a number of Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards, and TV Guide called it “the greatest television show of all time” in 2009.

That’s not all there is in Seinfeld’s career. He starred in, wrote and produced films such as “Comedian” and “Bee Movie,” directed and produced the Broadway hit “Colin Quinn Long Story Short,” and wrote the bestselling book “Seinlanguage” and the children’s book “Halloween.”

Now fans can find him starring in the Web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” with a bevy of his funny friends driving around in his numerous vehicles and getting a cup of joe while they chat about, well, nothing.

In Las Vegas, Seinfeld has been a headliner at the Colosseum since December 2003 and previously headlined at the resort’s Circus Maximus Showroom.

Tickets start at $82.50 and go on sale on Friday.
